Too sad to comment.
ReplyDeleteI had a kid once, I was close to. He said he wanted to join the army. I said, oh don't do that. But he was determined. So I said, well, don't join the army when there is a war. And he said, Mrs. J, there is always a war.
ReplyDeleteReally, Bill, it's unbelievably weird and terrible how Syria is being torn apart, largely by people who are benefitting from the 'non-lethal' aid of the U.S. and European governments. We heard from a friend in Damascus recently that the daily pay for 'rebels' has been upped from $15/day to $25. BTW, we gave a tip of the pen to you recently in a posting we did - "On the Superhighway of Civilizations" - where we mention we dined where Killary Klingon once did and almost lost our appetites.
